Description |
This is a picture of Oscar S. Lear (8/10/1857-12/3/1925). Oscar came to Columbus in 1876. Oscar became an automobile dealer in 1901 and founded Buckeye Motor Car Company in 1902. On July 3-4, 1905 he successfully completed a 24 hour race at the Columbus Driving Park. He developed the Frayer Miller automobile and on November 1, 1905 he built the first six cylinder car in the United States. |
